Introduces students to Safety Management Systems (SMS) as defined in 14 CFR Part 5, to include operator-specific risk management analysis, risk mitigation, and risk assurance strategies, best practices and an overview of FAA-sponsored voluntary reporting systems associated with an SMS. Prerequisites: FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate - Airplane Single Engine Land and Multi-Engine Land and AVIA 281.
