AVIA106 Airspace and Air Traffic Control studies the US National Airspace System, including standard and special use airspace, navigational aids, and air traffic communication. In addition, studies basic air traffic procedures and regulations including control tower/non-control tower operations and radar/non-radar separation.
This is a second eight-week class which meets every Thursday from 1:30-3:10 pm starting Thursday, March 12, 2026 until the end of the semester. Plan to spend 4 hours of additional study per week.
There is no textbook required for this course.
