
Introduces the student to the study of human factors within the aviation industry. Human Factors models, decision-making processes, situational awareness, crew resource management, fatigue, workload management, human performance and human/machine interaction concepts are discussed with application to the professional aviation environment. Prerequisites: for aviation majors - FAA Private Pilot Certificate - Airplane Single Engine Land and an FAA Instrument Rating - Airplane; for ATC major - FAA Private Pilot Certificate - Airplane Single Engine Land and AVIA 222.
