Instrument Rating Ground School. Prepares the student for the FAA Instrument Rating - Airplane Knowledge test. Satisfactory completion of AVIA 222 fulfills the regulatory requirements for Hesston College’s 14 CFR Part 141 Instrument Rating - Airplane Course ground-based knowledge requirement; completion of FAA Instrument Rating - Airplane knowledge test required. Prerequisite: FAA Private Pilot Certificate - Airplane Single Engine Land.
Provides a broad introduction to the various functions of business, including an overview of the business environment, entrepreneurship and business organization, management, marketing, accounting, finance, and business ethics. This class is designed for entering business students as well as those exploring an interest in the field of business.
The Professional Development I course is designed to improve the student’s ability and confidence to interact with other professionals and successfully navigate professional environments. In this course, we will orient the student to the upper level business program, introduce them to networking skills and opportunities to practice these skills, and provide them with various personal self-assessment tools. We also introduce the student to the basics of team building and facilitating skills. This course prepares the student for the Professional Development II course.
Men's Soccer 2025 Class
This course examines legal issues pertinent to the sports industry, including contracts, liability, intellectual property, and ethical considerations. Students will explore compliance with regulations, handling disputes, and navigating the complex legal landscape of sports. Through case studies and practical examples, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the legal and ethical challenges faced by sports organizations and professionals.
First-Year Experience seeks to integrate students into academics and campus life. Students will build skills critical to college success and engage in self-reflection in order to practice these skills in and outside of the classroom. Topics emphasized include time management, stress management, information literacy, and encountering different perspectives. Required of all new students with fewer than 24 college credits earned since high school. An Orientation-Knowledge General Education course
